Enter your short story, essay or poem for the PTK Tennessee Region Literary Awards!

Monday, November 30th!

Rules for entries are below:

How do you enter? It’s easy. You submit your entry to Mr. Jackson, Ms. Benns, Ms. Cart-Lowe, Ms. Borren, or Ms. Brew by November 30, 2009. We will prepare your entry form and submit your entry to the Tennessee Region Coordinator by the deadline.

Your entry, or entries, should be submitted according to the following guidelines:

  1. Short stories are limited to 2,500 words; Essays are limited to 1,000 words.
     

  2. You may only submit one entry per category (short story, poetry, essay). You may compete in more than one category, however.
     

  3. Just email and attach copies of your entries in Word format to lbenns@columbiastate.edu or to any of the advisors listed above.
    Be sure to note the title of the piece and category for each entry.
     

  4. DO NOT place your name, the name of your college, or of your chapter on your literary entries(Only the Entry Form will be used for identification).

All winning entries will be published in the annual Tennessee Region Literary Anthology.
So you could be a winner and a published author.
It’s one of the opportunities available to you as a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
