Great Maury County Cleanup

The annual Maury County Clean Up Day encourages residents to take to the streets cleaning ditches and road shoulders of accumulated litter. Beta Kappa Theta chapter arrived at the school early Saturday, April 19, in hopes of a large turn out. With students, faculty, and staff present, over 20 people cleared the sections of Casey Lane, Hampshire Pike, and Rutherford Lane adjacent to the Columbia State Community College campus. Shane Hall, student and Phi Theta Kappa member, comments on the chill of a windy morning, “Brrr, trash picking machine.” A special thanks is given to all Maury County McDonalds’ for providing lunch to the volunteers.
