An Inconvenient Truth Day

The Beta Kappa Theta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa sponsored An Inconvenient Truth Day at Columbia State on February 27. Former Vice President Al Gore’s Academy Award-winning documentary on global warming was offered free to students, faculty, staff, and the general public with six screenings in the Cherry Theatre. A total of 325 people saw the movie at least once and some came back for a second time. Brandon Armstrong, a member of Tennessee Alumni and Students for Sustainable Campuses (TASSC) and one of a core group trained to deliver the slide show on which An Inconvenient Truth is based, was on hand to discuss the film and other environmental topics.
