The Golden Key became Phi Theta Kappa's official emblem and the design for the membership pin. The Key is a golden slab, keyed at the top and bottom. Across the center of the slab is a black enamel band upon which three Greek letters appear, which are the initials of three mystic Greek words meaning phronimon (Phi), thumos (Theta), katharotes (Kappa) and meaning wisdom, aspiration and purity.

The Columbia State chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is once again participating in the Honor Society’s Project Graduation – Feed a Body…Feed a Mind. We ask that all of our May graduates bring with them to Graduation Rehearsal on May 11th nonperishable food items and/or children’s books (new or slightly used) to donate to the project.

But, Project Graduation is not limited to graduates only. All students, faculty, and staff are invited, and encouraged, to participate. This week you will notice boxes placed in classroom buildings on campus and in the Jones Student Center. These boxes will be out through May 8th. Please bring nonperishable food items and/or children’s books for the drive and place them in one of these boxes by May 8th; or bring your item(s) to the lobby of the gym by 10:00am on May 11th.

Thank you all in advance for helping Phi Theta Kappa fight hunger and illiteracy in our community.
